Ecommerce website that promotes nightlife and events aimed at the student commmunities.
Project Detail
Formed by 4 University friends, the website was originally set up to not only promote nightlife in Manchester, but to also help reduce the amount of flyering across the student campuses.
The main focus of the site is the Java Script fader/scroller that is used to promote the forthcoming events. The aim of this particular feature to effectively show as many events as possible without over crowding the fader. The man source of inspiration here being the fader that was used on the BBC’s coverage of Glastonbury 2011. With the events being ever-changing, this feature is fully manageable by the Smash Uni Team
Another feature that was developed into the site was a ‘Digg’ style review section. This is where visitors to the site can offer a review and also mark other reviews with either a or .
The Smash Uni site is built upon a Tovuti Ecommerce CMS allowing the team to sell items such a Uni-Clothing and books.
