Far from being a “soft skill”, effective organisational leadership is a powerful combination of influence and action. The aim of any organisational leader is to influence people to achieve outcomes and meet objectives by taking action and setting examples. After all, people tend to do what their leaders do not just what they say. To effectively influence and leverage their teams, leaders need to analyse the different circumstances which they are regularly faced with and make the most useful and profitable decision. This type of responsive leadership is a key factor to an organisation’s success.
