    I just came across this video which provides an interesting background to the Ecommerce revolution. And for those of you who are new to Ecommerce and considering starting up a new Ecommerce site it shows how mature the industry is becoming. The early days were very experimental and trying out new ideas to see what worked and what worked less well.

    Now we are 15 years on from this and very much setting up an Ecommerce website is fairly standard from the technology point of view. That still means that it is your site and your business so it is important that you put your stamp on what website design you want, how the site is structured and the way the products are presented.
